Yan-Yak makes bags you want to keep, pass down and not share with your sister. Established in 2025 by HH.

HH started by making pasta necklaces & belts as a child but has since built a career in the industry working as a leather goods designer for brands including Paul Smith, Jigsaw & Lulu Guinness.

Born into a family shaped by craft. HH’s grandparents built their own house and called it Yan-Yak – Cumbrian for “One Oak”.

Memories of them, scribbling, eating too many chips, grainy photos, traditional leather techniques and a childhood in the 90s form the basis of the design.

Hand in hand with leather craftsmen in England, every bag is hand-cut and handmade in small quantities. Materials are responsibly sourced, primarily from England and Europe.
